LFW AW16 | Style Notes by Basharatyan V

Just a stones throw away from Brewer Street, BasharatyanV held their fashion week presentation in the alpine themed basement bar, Piste. With the perfect après-ski dinner party vibe to the presentation that not only matched the venue perfectly, but also to the amazing collection on view.

LFW AW16 Basharatyan V Review

Consisting of the perfect formal yet contemporary pieces, this is one collection I wont forget in a hurry! With a colour palette of grey, white and midnight blue, along with the use of luxurious velvet, the collection oozes sophistication and class making it perfect for a dinner party wherever in the world it is, but the London/British element is very apparent. The contemporary and fun element came from the inclusion of crop tops to show of just a small amount of midriff and also the use of sheer material for the back of one of the jackets. Roll necks wear hugely popular, but then again it is a AW collection! The hair and makeup complemented the collection perfectly, as it was kept simple as to not take any attention away and also in keeping with the formal vibe. The menswear from Velsvoir was the perfect choice to complement the BasharatyanV collection, especially with the use of velvet and the same colour palette throughout.

The presentation was such a lovely event to attend and such a contrast to the fast paced fashion week happening outside! It had such a relaxed feel to it (matching in with the après-ski vibe) where everyone could chat as well as look at the amazing collection on view. In my opinion, Piste was the perfect venue for this presentation!
