Get Shirt-y With It!

The one fashion item I've really got into this year is shirts - they are something I've never really worn or bought much of in the past, other than the classic smart shirt. Pretty much every store this season has brought out a new collection of shirts and, as you can imagine, I now have a bit of a wish list!

How beautiful are all these shirts - pretty sure I could buy them all if my bank account let me! Of course, check shirts are always 'in' so I had to include one and the red and blue shirt (3rd row, middle) is so gorgeous and the two black and white check ones (2nd row & bottom row, middle) are a great alternative to the classic but do look a little smarter if that is the look you are after. Blue seems to be a hugely popular colour for shirts this season, either in block colour or stripe - another well seen design detail. At the moment, I'm loving kaki, so this one from M&S (4th row, right) is right up my street, as is the store itself - with new designers coming in, I hope it will now be somewhere for more buying! One thing I keep seeing around is bell sleeves and honestly, I'm never sure if I like them or not, part of me does and part is more 'what is that?!', but this one from Free People (3rd row, left) is beyond gorgeous, especially the colour and the cut.

Do you like and wear shirts? Where is your favourite place to buy them from?
Love Laura x

  1. I understand this wishlist, haha. I love wearing a shirt unbuttoned over a tank top and jeans, or round my waist, they create such an edgy look! Lovely post x

    1. I love that look and it always feels so laid back and sort of 'American', which I also love!

  2. I really need to get myself some new skirts. I picked up a black & white striped one from H&M last week, but haven't had chance to wear it yet. I love wearing my shirts with the sleeves rolled up to make them that bit more casual.

  8. I've been looking to grab myself a nice checked shirt - probably courtesy of COW in town. I used to wear a lot of Ben Sherman shirts which were my favourite because of the Mod style and bog collar, but since working from home and hiking a lot I don't wear them so often.

Definitely going to keep my eye on COW and ebay for a nice checked little number though.

    1. Love a good check shirt but never really thought of looking in COW before, somewhere I only recently found to be honest!
