Clive Christian Perfume

Who doesn't love a luxury fragrance? I know I do but then again, there is luxury and then there's Clive Christian, home to the worlds most expensive perfume and the leading independent British perfumery. Established in 1872 as Crown Perfumery Company, it was created to cater for the higher society in London and was purchased by Clive Christian in 1999 to restore it to its former glory.

Mission accepted, mission completed! With no expense spared, you get the purest of formulas using the finest ingredients from around the world. This is obvious as soon as you see the bottle never mind the first smell you get! Just look how luxurious this bottle is, it's a work of art on it's own. The topper is in fact a replica of Queen Victoria's very distinctive crown design and Clive Christian is the only perfume company in the world to be granted the use of this by the Queen herself - a symbol of quality and British excellence.

No1 is part of the Original collection and is the most expensive fragrance per ounce in the world. This is unlike anything I have ever smelt before - floral yet slightly fruity and absolutely gorgeous. With top notes of plum, white peach, lemon and mandarin, fading to the base notes of vanilla, musk and amber, this is just a scent that keeps on giving. Rose is also included which is the symbolic flower of Aphrodite's gardens of love and beauty. Like I said, this is such a unique scent and it lasts all day from morning to night thanks to it's 20% perfume concentration. I've had so many compliments when I've been wearing this, even from complete strangers, so you know it's good when that happens!

Clive Christian also do candles using the signature scents from the Original range and the X candle combines both the feminine and masculine perfumes to create this candle scent. As soon as I opened my parcel, I could smell the candle! The scent is a little spicy mixed with floral and vanilla making it quite unusual but, once again, completely unique and make your home smell incredible once lit. I personally love how simple the design of the candle is as it puts all emphasis on the scent itself.

One thing to mention is that the all the perfumes are created in matching pairs - one feminine, one masculine - with each having an interpretation of the scent but don't necessarily dictate the wearer for either as they are all unisex. It also means that you and your partner can be truly a pair with your scents.

While these are on the more pricy side, they are 100% worth it as the scents are completely unique and a little goes a long way with the 20 - 25% perfume concentration in each and every perfume, so you definitely get your money's worth! The candles are a perfect way to add a luxurious scent to your home and also would make the perfect gift as they also do Gift Sets for the original range.
