Collection Cosmetics Colour Match Foundation
We all know that Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer is a blogger favourite, but have you ever thought about trying their foundation? I know I certainly hadn't but after a visit to my local Superdrug, know I wanted a new foundation to try out, I came away with their Colour Match Foundation in shade Porcelain.
As this was only £3.99, it was by far the cheapest foundation I have ever bought, so obviously I was a little unsure about how good it would be. However I was impressed with the swatch I tried in store and the porcelain shade seemed like a good match for my pale skin! When I tried it out at home, it does have little more of an orange undertone than I would have preferred but it's no where near unwearable. I did find that it seemed to go slightly lighter throughout the da, so I guess that is where the colour match comes in the formula. I would say it is a light/medium coverage foundation but it is buildable, so you can get the coverage you desire.
One thing I particularly like about this foundation is that it has UVA and UVB sunscreens included in the formula. As I have pale skin, this is something I always look for, especially since the skin on you face, particularly around you eyes, is where the most sensitive skin is that needs the most protection. The tube is also unique in that it is squeezy, meaning you only get out the amount of product you actually need and when it is getting empty, you can get everything out. I wish more cosmetics brands would take this on board!
For the price, this foundation has exceeded expectations and I've been using it constantly since I bought it as I love how flawless it makes my skin look and it even sticks well to the oily spots. It does last a good 6-8 hours without being touched up and doesn't oxidise after you have applied, it does try and match to your skin.
If you are after a super budget foundation, I can fully recommend giving this one a go and they have a few different shades to choose from. Have you ever tried any of Collection's foundations?
Love Laura x

DeleteOoh, I might give this a go. I'm not a fan of orange undertones but I can try to style them out. Also love the sweets you used in the photo! Those ones are the best things I've ever had!

You really should! I always put a light layer of white powder over to even out the orange and gives a longer staying power

Thank you lovely!
DeleteI don't think that we get this product here but I would love to try it out. It is so inexpensive!
ReplyDeleteI'd never thought of trying their foundation actually. It's weird isn't it, because I love the concealer. I usually go to Wilkos to buy Collection, my local store always stocks everything & they're a fair bit cheaper than Boots/Superdrug.
