Biscoff & Chocolate Chip Pastry Plait

Baking with pastry not only makes something absolutely delicious, it can also be incredibly quick and easy especially if you cheat a little an use ready made pastry! While I can make it, it's so much quicker to use when all you have to do it roll it out. I also love Biscoff spread and chocolate, so why no combine them all together to create a Biscoff & Chocolate Chip Pastry Plait.

Not only is this so easy and quick to make, it also looks super impressive so you'll have everyone thinking your the best baker ever thanks to how complicated the plait part looks! In reality, it's very easy to do as long as you take make sure both sides are even and take your time while doing it and it will turn out perfect every time.

You Will Need:
- Roll of pre made puff pastry
- Jar of Biscoff, either smooth or crunchy
- 150g chocolate chips
- 1 egg

- Pre heat the oven to 180

- Un roll the puff pastry onto a baking tray and lightly score into three equal pieces vertically

- Place around a quarter of a jar of Biscoff into a microwavable bowl and heat for 20secs at a time until it is runny - keep stirring so it doesn't burn

- Spoon the warm Biscoff into the centre piece of the pastry right up to then ends

- Cover with the chocolate chips, making sure to leave a few to decorate

- For the plait, cut diagonally to create strips down the remaining 2 sides - try to keep them as equal as possible to create the perfect plait.

- Place a strip from the left across the middle to meet the opposite side, then do the same with the right and carry on doing this the entire way down the pastry. For both of the ends, simply bend over to make it look neat and keep the filling in

- Beat the egg in a mug and using a brush, give the plait a 'wash' to help it golden in the oven

- Place in the oven for 20mins or until golden and flaky

- Place some Biscoff in a bowl and warm as before then drizzle across the top and sprinkle to extra chocolate chips

- Dig in and enjoy!

So easy that once you've made it once, you'll be hooked and always making it! If you prefer it warm, you can always place a slice in the microwave for 20 seconds to warm through and make it gooey again.

Let me know if you make this and what you think!
