Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil
If you don't know all about Benefit's new brow range, then where have you been?! They have been the go to brand for brow products for a number of years but have finally brought out an extended range with more shade choice, oh and super cute new packaging!
I managed to get hold of the Goof Proof Brow Pencil in the shade 2 which is towards the lighter end of the scale - maybe a little gingery? The first thing that catches your eye is of course the packaging, both the box and the pencil itself, which is silver with a fancy cut lid. I think this makes it look so unique while still looking high end and the silver on the front of the box is a nice way to link the two together. This is the same for the pink and black which is on both and also part of the Benefit brand look. I also think this makes the text stand out so much from the silver so you know what product you've picked up if you have a few from this range!
The pencil itself is so easy to hold as it is a little square shaped and the lid shape makes it easy to pull of as it sort of fits into your hand and gives grip - especially good as the lid is a tight fit to preserve the product inside. It's also just the right weight which is what you need when perfecting those brows! I also love that the product is retractable as it means you are never going to get it stuck to the lid or all over your hands every time you open it.
The nib is shaped at an angle with the bottom half thicker then goes to a point which is so helpful, as you can then use which ever end you feel best to fill in your brows and shape them. The product is quite pigmented but I found it need to go over the area a couple of times to fully fill it in, but it is so easy to use and to get the shape you require without too much effort.
This is definitely one product that lives up to the online hype and has become one of my holy grail things to use to get my brows 'on point'. Personally, I think I may be better getting a slightly darker shade, as now I do still put a little powder over the top to make it darker but I think this is just personal choice.
Have you tried anything from Benefit's new brow range and what did you think of it?
Love Laura x

ReplyDeleteRemember - your eyebrows are sisters not twins so they will look slightly different to one another!
