Train Like An Angel

How amazing was the Victoria's Secret show this year?! How I wish I could have been there in person but at least I got to watch one of the most waited for fashion shows in the world in some way. It was also the first time the show had been done in London and had the largest amount of models of any VS fashion show, which meant even more outfit to look at! That also included seeing a lot more of those super-toned bodies! These models may be blessed with natural beauty, but they do work hard for their bodies and I have found a few exercises that you can do at home that are similar to what the angels do.

Squat Jump Rope
Targets - abs, butt, thighs, calves
Stand with feet shoulder width apart, knees soft and hold the jump rope behind you. Jump over the rope slowly and land in a squat each time and continue this for about 1 minute.

Air Punch
Targets - shoulders, arms, back, abs
Stand with your feet slightly wider than hip width, knees soft, elbows bent with your hands in front of your face in fists. Punch right arm forward, then switch sides and repeat. Start slowly then gradually build up the speed for about 2 minutes.

Targets - abs, obliques, butt, legs
Start in a lunge with your left leg forward and right leg back with knee bent, left arm back, right fingertips on floor. Keeping left foot flat, stand and drive right knee forward and above hip level, swinging left arm in front and your right arm down. Return to your start position and continue for 1 minute. Switch sides and repeat.

Targets - abs, butt, legs, arms
Position yourself with feet slightly apart and elbows on the floor directly under the shoulders, hands flat to the floor. Hold yourself in a straight line, using all of your core muscles to keep yourself lifted off the floor. Stay in this position for 1 minute.

Remember, if you are going to do any sort of workout, make sure you warm up and cool off appropriately to what you are doing - you don't want to cause yourself a serious injury.
