#StayFitDontQuit - First Spin Class

As part of Get The Label's #StayFitDontQuit campaign, I am taking part in spinning classes for the duration of September and I recently went to my first class at Spin Factory in Manchester city centre. I actually surprised myself and really, really enjoyed the class. Honestly didn't think I would write that sentence!

Situated in the Salford end of Manchester (not far from King Street) it is easy to get to, but inside you forget your in the city centre. Don't be put off by the size from the outside, it is actually very spacious with a large, open space with seating while you wait for your class along with large changing rooms complete with lockers. Just remember to bring a padlock so you can lock all your belongings away.

As my class was at lunch, it was quite quiet but this was perfect for me as I hadn't done spinning before. The instructor was super helpful and encouraging without being scary, as some can be! While the class itself was hard work, you can feel how good it is for you - as long as you don't mind wobbly legs after! Never knew there was so much to learn at a spin class and there is no way I would have remembered it all but having the instructor at the front so you can copy them is perfect. I would defiantly recommend that you at least try spinning once - you may surprise yourself and really enjoy it as I did. Just remember to take water with you and stay hydrated after your class.

I left so happy and found that I actually really enjoyed the class and spinning is no where near as scary as it sounds. Looking forward to my next class!

Love Laura x

    1. It was hard but enjoyable - didn't find it intimidating as it sounds and my class was really quiet too which helped

  4. Spin classes have been every where! I've never done it, as I bike it a lot, and it seems a bit too much like my morning commute. What exactly is in a class/how do they teach you?

    1. A lot is done on resistance and speed - completely different to being on an actual bike. And you follow an instructor - they do the class alongside you. Hope that helps!

  5. I keep wanting to take a spin class but not going to lie people's opinions of it being tough and that PUT ME RIGHT OFF. After reading this post I am considering finding my local class and giving it a go :)
