Embrace The Pale!

Having pale skin can be a mixed bag - sure you always have that timeless 'English Rose' porcelain look but finding the right makeup and skincare products can be a right hassle! Especially since paler skin is usually more sensitive to, well pretty much everything and it can leave you envious of those who have a more sun-kissed glow. Luckily we are now at the perfect time of the year to let your inner china doll shine though and to more importantly, embrace it!
Tips-Embrace-Pale-Skin

Ditch the powder
It's so easy to get that horrible 'caked on' look when your pale so beware of that extra layer. If your not after that dewy skin look, try switching to a lighter moisturiser and carry blotting papers with you at all times.

A little is better
Every girl has tried a smoky eye or a heavy makeup look but what may look amazing on someone with a bit more of a tan, may look a little over done on your pale skin. Opt for more subtle makeup to really make your skin pop

Make friends with brown
Eyeliner that is. It will still define your eyes but without being as harsh as black.

SPF = Your new BFF!
The fairer your skin the easier it is to get sun damaged. Always choose products that contains a high SPF to protect your skin and leave it healthy. Extra credit to you if you opt products containing titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which provide extra skin protection

Don't fear bright
Bright lipstick will not wash you out! Reds, pinks, purples are totally wearable, just keep the rest of your makeup simple and let your lips do the talking (no pun intended!)

Blush?
Avoid blushers with sparkle, as it will reflect too much light. Remember, blush sets the 'tone' to the rest of your face and can go from making you look amazing to making you look ill!

Bronze
You love your pale hue but a little bronzer can add a natural looking glow, if it is used correctly. A little is better than a lot to avoid the orange look. Try using with a little blush to even it out.

There you have it my little china dolls - some looks for your gorgeous fair skin! Is there anything you do to embrace your natural skin tone?

  1. You're so lucky you have such a gorgeous complexion! I'm quite pale, but not quite so much as you - and my skin isn't quite as clear either!
Great tips, I'm always a bit scared of using bronzer because, well, I'm not really sure what I'm doing and I worry I'll end up with huge stripes down my face. What bronzers do you like? I may have to give one a try :)

    1. I've never done fake tan more out of fear of the streaks haha! For bronzer it's just a case of testing to see which one works and then loads of blending
