Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Urban Decay Naked palettes are without a doubt a blogger favourite - always being included in instagram posts and makeup tutorials. I never really understood why, until I bought Naked 3 and OMG it is ah-mazing!

Review and look using Naked 3 from Urban Decay

For a eye makeup novice like me, it is the perfect palette to start with, as all the shades are quite pale but very pigmented and easy to blend together in a number of different ways - meaning if you go a little wrong it might not be as noticeable! However, there are a couple of darker shades if you want something a little more smoky. I also love the rose gold tin as it looks so classy and I also feel it protects the eyeshadow inside so they would be less likely to break if you were carrying it around in a bag. The look I created it super simple and subtle, but really helps to bring out my blue eyes and even better, it takes all of 5 mins to create!

A makeup look using naked 3 palette from Urban Decay

Firstly, I used the shade 'Nooner' and a big fluffy brush to cover my entire eyelid and blended out the edge to make it look softer and more natural. Next, using a small flat brush I applied 'Darkhorse' to the outer corner of my eye up into the crease and slightly along the lash line and once again blended it in with the bigger brush to soften the lines. Once again with the small brush, 'Strange' was applied to the inner corner of my eye to brighten the area and blended it in a little. I also applied a little of the 'Nooner' shade along my lower lash line. With a thin line of eyeliner and a few coats of mascara to complete the look.

This has defiantly been my go-to makeup look at the moment as it is so quick to do - the photo above really doesn't do it justice and trust me, it does look a lot better in person!

Have you bought/tried the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay and what did you think of it? Also, what are the other Naked palettes like? I want to try them all!

  3. I haven't looked at this palette, I gave up after number 1 as I just don't find the shadows that long lasting. I much prefer my Nars Narsissist palette!

  5. The Naked 3 palette is actually my favourite out of them all. The pink tone shades are just so pretty as we enter into the spring and they really help to compliment my pale skin and brown eyes. And yes, the rose gold exterior is just gorgeous isn't it?!

  9. I purchased the Naked 2 Palette 1 - 2 years ago because of all the hype surrounding it. While I love the palette, I was extremely let down based on all the positive feedback I had heard. Even now I often reach for other shadows in my collection over the Naked 2 Palette. I've always wanted to try the Naked 3, but based on previous experience I might just steer clear of it. Great review though :)

  10. The Naked 3 really is a beautiful palette and the metallic shades are so beautiful - I think my fave shade is Trick - it looks like an orangey-gold shade but when you apply it to the lid, it's just so beautiful and shimmery - really compliments blue eyes!
