Book Review : Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
Now this is one book that has been all over social media and recommended so many times, it only seemed right that this was my next read. I was actually a bit hesitant to get this as it isn't something I would normally go for, but it exceeded my expectations completely.
The story follows Eleanor as she lives her day to day life, going to work and getting the same meal deal for lunch until one simple and small event changes her and how she views that around her. She has to learn how to face the world around her which she now sees in a different lights while also face her 'demons'.
The book addresses serious issues with the main on being loneliness which is something on a whole we don't take about even if that is what we are sometimes feeling. You also learn throughout about Eleanor's past and how this has influenced her view of everything but it is done in a way that still makes her a very likeable character who you root for throughout. While there is a hint at a romantic relationship that you root for, you also will Eleanor to face her past and learn about who she really is.
A thought-provoking and uplifting - at times funny - story that shows you don't always know what is really happening in someone's life and not to judge too quickly, it's easy to see what this is best seller!
