Blogmas Day 14 - Chocolate Slab

Christmas is the perfect time to eat all the chocolate - and not feel bad about it! This chocolate slab is perfect for everyone to enjoy, especially since they can choose what size of the slab they want weather they want a tiny piece or half of it, each to their own! It is also super easy and quick to make and perfect if children want to get involved.

You will need:

200g milk chocolate
Bag of mini fudge pieces
Bag of M&M's (I used the ones with the crispy centre)
Cake decoration chocolate balls
Baking paper
Baking tray

  • Place a sheet of baking paper onto a baking tray - you can secure it with a little butter on the underside of the paper to stick it to the tray if needed

  • Break up the bar of chocolate into a microwavable bowl and microwave until fully melted. Be sure to only heat it for a short amount of time and constantly check to avoid burning!

  • Pour the melted chocolate onto the covered baking tray and spread evenly out to create a rectangular shape about half a cm thick

  • Decorate as desired!

  • Place into the fridge and leave for about an hour or until it has set. If you need it sooner, you can place it into the freezer for a short amount of time

  • Simply peel off the paper, break into pieces and enjoy!

You can decorate the chocolate slab with literally anything you can find, depending on what you like! Small pieces of fruit works well, as does crushed peppermint sweets to add a Christmassy feel to it. You could even add alcohol to the chocolate mix!
